December 26th, 2005
Sorry, we were too busy to post the last couple of days. We've been busy helping with all sorts of different Christmas things.
We hope you had a good Christmas. We did. Mom made me a sweater, Eva and Chloe new dresses, and bought presents for Robinson and Charlotte. Mom got a brand new digital camera. She's taken lots of pictures of us.
Hope you all had a merry Christmas and have a great New Year!

I found a new website to share with you. It's a website by some people who make bears for a living. They're awfully nice looking bears! It's called Bears by Beesley.

She says that before she came to GoodWill, she had a home with a little girl who outgrew her. The little girl's mom is who gave her away to GoodWill. She is glad that Mom found her. We're glad too.

We have a new friend today. Mom rescued her from GoodWill. Her name is Evangeline. Mom rescued my teddy, Caleb, from GoodWill too. She bought her for company for Polly. Polly got a new dress. I don't really understand girls' fascination with dresses, but I admit this is a real pretty one. She's got a cap and a hat. When we go outside, now Polly can come with us if she wants!
Mom gave us some bad news today. She says that the place she works at is closing. It really doesn't mean much for us-- but she says that she needs all the hugs and moral support we can give her. She told us that Grandma will help her take care of us if she can't find another job right away. She's mostly sad because she's worked there for such a long time and she likes her co-workers. We all love our Mom and we don't want her to be hurting. We're going to give her lots of hugs and moral support. Cheer up, Mom!

Hello! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I had a tummy ache. I ate too much chocolate. Mom made me stay in bed all day. I feel much better today though! I mostly napped! I don't mind spending time in bed. I read books all day. Chloe and Robinson kept me supplied in new books and orange juice. After my tummy ache went away, I was a content bear.
I have a website that I want to share with you. It's called Billy Bear's Playground. It is a bear friendly website with all sorts of educational stuff. It has information about animals, things to download and color, clipart to make pretty pictures on the computer with, and all sorts of different things. I don't like the ads on the pages, but Mom says that's how they pay for the website. I found it today while Mom was at work and I just had to share. It's even got some things for the grown-ups in your life! I've bookmarked it and I'll visit it again sometime. I have LOTS of bookmarked websites!

My mom finished my coveralls today! I'm pretty proud of them. She's been making lots of clothes for Chloe, and I felt left out. Now she's made me these great coveralls. They've even got buckles!
I wanted to share with you a book that Mom brought home for us a while ago. It's called Zen Shorts, and it is by a man named Jon Muth. It is a series of interconnected short stories about different Zen principles. It has beautiful watercolor illustrations. The main idea of the story is that a panda named Stillwater moves into the backyard of three siblings. They all visit Stillwater, and he tells them a story. It is a very well written and impressively illustrated book. It is much worth anyone's time, no matter their age.

Today, I got to help put the Christmas tree lights on one of my Mom's Christmas trees. I had a lot of fun. This Christmas tree is a lot bigger then I am, so I had to let Mom help me. But I put the lights on, and arranged them so they looked nice. We waited for Mom's mom to put on ornaments. Maybe that'll be tomorrow's project!
The lights that were on the tree weren't working. So Mom and I had to take them all off. That was a lot of work! They were pushed to the center of the tree, so we had to pull them out of branches. Since it is an artifical tree, the branches kept on coming out too!
Then we put on all the new lights, and arranged them just so. I want to help put the ornaments up. This tree has a lot of bird ornaments, glass ornaments, bells, and metal horns. It's really festive. I like decorating for Christmas. Mom and Grandma have a smaller tree that is more my size too. I hope that I can help fix that one. One strand of lights on that tree are out too. Mom and Grandma have to buy new lights with green wires. I don't know why it matters so much, but Mom thinks so! So we've got to wait!
Mom got to stay home today. Besides putting up the Christmas tree lights, we cooked lunch and napped. I watched her put ribbons on a new dress for Chloe too. I like it when she is at home. She's got to go to work tomorrow, but she has the whole weekend off!

I think that it’ll be much better when I get used to the cold. I hope it snows though before Christmas. I want a white Christmas! It doesn’t need to be feet of snow. Just a light dusting will be fine with me!
I had a nice picture of a teddy angel, but Blogger.com doesn’t want to let me upload it. I’ll have to share it with you tomorrow.

Then Mom came home. She’s making me some coveralls, so I helped her with that for a while. Then she let me play on the computer where I found a great picture for Thanksgiving!
Mom has to go to work early tomorrow, so I’ve got to get offline. I’ll write tomorrow!

I had a great day today! I got to help Mom make dinner. She took some pictures of me helping so I could share them with you! It started out with me coming downstairs with her. She put me on the ground so I could look around. I liked walking around, but I liked being up higher even more. We made chicken and potatoes. She assembled the roasting pan, and then let me help her put the 'shake and bake' and the chicken into a plastic baggie and shake! That was pretty fun too. Then we laid the chicken out in a nice row in the pan. Then she put it in the oven because it was much too hot for me. Then I helped her wrap the potatoes in tin foil. Those went into the oven too.
Then we went into the living room and sat for a while. We watched TV. Then we went back to the kitchen and served up supper! It was really good. We did a GREAT job!

November 21st, 2005
Today is Mom's dad's birthday. They went out to dinner. Mom explained to us about birthdays. She says that people celebrate the anniversary of the day that they were born. She says that my birthday is on Christmas! I thought we were celebrating Christmas, and we were also celebrating my birthday! He got all sorts of different presents. I like presents!
I had a nice, calm day. The weather was pretty nice, so we took a walk around the patio. All the leaves are gone, and the snow that fell has melted away. It's pretty ugly outside. I wish the snow would have stayed for longer. The patio is almost finished though. There is only one side where we have to watch our step or we might trip. It's very nice. It's nice to walk on too. Before it was kind of hard to walk on the grass-- it was too bumpy! Now it's all nice and smooth.

November 17th, 2005
Mom and I just spent the last few hours helping her Mom with a project from work. Her hands are tired, so I am typing this all by myself. It's just going to take me a bit longer all by myself!
Today we spent lots of time looking out the windows at the new snow. There really isn't a lot of it though. It doesn't even cover the ground completely. Mom says that this weekend is supposed to be a little bit warmer, so it probably is going to disappear. I like snow. I just don't like being all stuck inside when it snows! Mom will let us outside after it snows. She doesn't want us getting lost in a snowdrift. After all, we're only 18 inches tall!
Today while Mom was at work, we investigated online what kind of giraffe Charlotte is. Turns out, she's a reticulated giraffe. She's got the right coat pattern. I'll post a better picture of her later with a picture of a reticulated giraffe and you can see. It was pretty interesting trying to figure it out. We really couldn't find many through websites about giraffes. All we could really find was zoo websites. They had basic information, but not much about the different species of giraffes! Oh well. Doesn't matter much to us.

One thing that the blog had that I thought was a great idea is that it introduced all of Fuzzles’ friends. I thought that I would introduce my friends.
First, this is my sister Chloe. Mom brought her home from Build-a-Bear. She is very nice, even for a little sister! She likes puppies, kitties, and going to the park. She likes to imagine that she’s a lady from the olden days. She likes pretending to have tea with her friends.
We spend a lot of time together. She’s starting to learn to read, so I help her. She tells me that she wants to write on this blog. I told her that I would let her someday. She can tell very good stories, so I’m sure she’d do well. Her favorite stories are ones with animals in them. We’re always on the lookout for new books!
This is my friend Robinson. Mom brought him home from Build-a-Bear too. We always have great fun. We like imagining that we’re pirates, cowboys, or even astronauts! He likes to read too. We read the boy books together that Chloe isn’t interested in. We also like going outside. Robinson loves playing in leaves, snow, or even sand. He wants it to snow so we can go outside and play. I’m not sure if Mom’ll let us go outside too much! Either way, I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun.
Next, this is my sister’s friend, Charlotte. Mom brought her home from Build-a-Bear. She’s kind of shy to Robinson and I now, but she’s warming up. She says that she’s never met anyone like us! But Chloe told her that we were awfully nice, so she wants to be our friend too!

November 12th 2005
While Mom was gone to work, we decided to get a new book off the chest at the end of her bed. It was quite the adventure. Thankfully, Charlotte is very tall. Chloe climbed on her back and pulled herself right up there. Our new book is Click-Clack, Quackity Quack, by Doreen Cronin. It's an alphabet adventure with the same characters as Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. That's one of our favorites!
Tomorrow the patio in front of the house gets put up. Or put down, to be more exact. It's basically ground covered with bricks. We're going to watch from the balcony!

My Mom came home! It's awfully late, but she came back from the apartment just to be by me! I'm so glad! I was getting worried for a while there. She warned us that she might stay at the apartment tonight, but I hoped she would come home. I didn't want to spend all night and all day tomorrow alone!
I found this great picture today when Mom was at work and at the apartment. It's a picture of a beautiful tree that is at a college campus. I've never seen a tree around here such a brilliant color orange.
It's time to go to bed. I'll write more tomorrow. Hope you are having a good day!

We didn't get to go outside today. It was much too cold. Maybe tomorrow. Mom and her parents are going to make a patio of pavers right outside the porch. Maybe we can help. We can at least supervise!
Today was pretty fun though. We went downstairs and watched a TV show on the Animal Planet channel called Growing Up Giraffe. It was sad when the mother giraffe died, but I'm glad that the baby pulled through. I wish that they'd have updates!
I would like to know how the baby giraffe is doing today.

Today was a very good day for me. I was all cozy in my blankets for most of the day. Then we read some books, played on the computer a little bit, and then Mom came home. We went downstairs and played with the dog. Now Mom and I are playing on the internet. We found this great picture. It is a statue of a teddy bear in the city of Seattle, Washington. Mom showed me where it is on the map. It's far away from Wisconsin! Someday, I hope I can travel here to see this teddy bear!
We were looking at a book about places to travel that have to do with books. It's called Traveling Literary America, by B.J. Welborn. Robinson and I picked out places that we'd like to visit. You can see where Laura Ingalls Wilder was born. We like her books. You can also tour Springfield, IL, and find out all about Lincoln!

November 1st, 2005
Today was a pretty quiet day. Since Mom had to work all day, Robinson and I took turns reading Harry Potter between naps. She says that she's going to get us a new book when we're finished.
I'm looking forward to Friday. Mom says we can all get bundled up and go outside and play! She says that there are plenty of leaves to play in. If it doesn't rain or snow, I'll make sure she takes pictures and post them here!

Today Mom gave us our own clock. I know that I can see the time on the computer, but she gave us a clock to use in our corner. I know how to tell time on a regular clock, but Chloe doesn't. Mom says I can show her how. It'll be a good project for next week when Mom's at work! Time is a pretty funny thing when you're a bear. It really doesn't matter too much, unless you're waiting for someone to come home!
This is the blog that finally talked Mom into letting me have one as well. It's written by a bear named Dostoy. It's also on blogger. It's called Dostoy Reflects. Mom says that I can't read it until she reads it first-- since it's sometimes a bit over my eight-year-old head. But it's wonderful no matter the less. I think it's great! He's also got a great B&N sweater! I wish I had one!

Polly is our new friend. She is our grandmother’s doll from when she was a little girl. Our Mom looked it up online, and it turns out that she is a Madame Alexander Pollyanna doll from 1960. So we call her Polly. She still belongs to Grandma, but she’s going to spend some time in our room while Mom makes new clothes for her.
Today we read a new book. It is called I Know a Shy Fellow Who Swallowed a Cello, by a lady named Barbara S. Garriel. We decided that it was a great read-aloud book, but that the pictures weren’t very good. For Chloe and Charlotte, half the fun is the pictures!! For Robinson and I, it’s at least a quarter of the fun!!!
October 27th, 2005
I live in a house in Wisconsin, with my little sister, Chloe, my friend, Robinson, and Chloe's friend, Charlotte. We play all day. This week we like playing pirates! Next week, who knows? We're reading Harry Potter right now, so maybe we'll play wizards!
