Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Mom has decided to start on a new sewing project, so she did something a bit simpler to see if she could do it. A while back, we were watching one of our favorite YouTube channels, Bentley House Minis. On the sidebar, the YouTube algorithm recommended a lady who was explaining how some historical Halloween costumes weren't close to what it really should look like. On a lark, Mom clicked and she's been sucked into Bernadette Banner and historical costuming (even though she has no interest what so ever in actually making anything for herself), and has subscribed to most of her friends' channels and Instagram pages. One of the things that got her interest was that Ms. Banner made herself a lady Sherlock outfit. Mom has got the idea that she will make a lady Sherlock outfit for Adelaide!

She wanted to see if she could handsew something, so a few days ago, she went to the fabric store and bought some red flannel. Adelaide now has some red pajamas! Mom says that her seams aren't exactly straight, nor the stitches small, but Adelaide says she doesn't care! The hand sewing part is still up for deciding-- it didn't take very long, but she says she spent a great deal of time worrying about keeping everything straight. But who knows!

I hope you're all having a great week! Talk to you later!

Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. I have a new friend to share with you! When Toys R Us went out of business, Mom missed out on the opportunity to buy a Journey Girls doll. A few months ago she discovered via some of the American Girl groups she belongs to on Facebook that they got rebooted by Amazon. Last week, she finally placed an order for a new friend and she arrived!

Meet Cedar! She is a Chavonne Journey Girl! Mom hasn't decided how she's going to fit in our 18 inch doll family, but she will probably be some relation to Tallulah!

Tallulah is a Barnes and Noble Espari doll, which was sort of just a Journey Girl doll with a different name. They do look similar, although Cedar has much bigger eyes!

She seems to like it here. Mom gave her some new clothes, and we're working on finding her some things of her own!

Have a great week!

February 14th, 2020

Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Last week, Mom went to the mall and bought some things for my 18 inch doll friends and I, so we have things to post about! This week's post is about something she found at her retail job.

Since it's Valentine's Day, she bought us a chocolate bar! It's just our size!

I decided that I would share it with Adelaide too. We've become very good friends with all the time we spend waiting for Mom to get out of work. She's a good sport about doing all sorts of things for my teddy bear friends and I who don't have opposable thumbs! (Mom thinks that's it's interesting that despite the fact that we're both nearly the same size, it looks like it's in the right scale for me, but it looks too big for Adelaide! We think it has to do with the fact that I've got much bigger paws!)

Talk to you next week!

February 7th, 2020

Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Mom had another off week at the not-retail job, so we didn't post last night. Sometimes napping is very important!

We did get some new things for our 18 inch doll friends. Adelaide likes horses so Mom gave it to her!

I think Mom always wanted a music box carousel, so she picked this one to buy! There used to be jewelry boxes with tiny spinning ballerinas that Mom liked, despite not wanting to be a ballerina! I guess Mom's always liked things that move! This one doesn't move, but it does have a button that makes it play music.

Talk to you next week!

Hello everybody! How are you? I am okay. Mom feels nauseous right now, so we are going to post this and go to bed. I will try to convince her to write more tomorrow.
