One of the many things Mom does instead of helping me with my blog is play on Pinterest. I thought if I wanted to write about some of the teddy and doll related boards Mom follows she would stop pinning and help me type! She says that she will try!

For the people who don’t spend tons of time online like Mom, Pinterest is a way to collect pictures, links, and other visual things in a way so you can admire the pictures later. You organize things into boards, and follow other people with like interests.

Mom mostly follows boards that have something to do with her biggest interests, reading, dogs, and her latest obsession, an actor from Sherlock, the BBC TV show. There are a few teddy boards mixed in there though! This one is one of them!

Here is another board. I think it’s amazing how people can gather to share pictures and information about hobbies on the internet! Who would’ve thought there would be so many boards on teddies alone!

Another dolly thing that Mom likes to look at on Pinterest is the American Girl stuff. Someday, Mom hopes to make more pretty clothes for all of us. She’s amazed by the wonderful work that is out there.

Are there any boards that you follow that are interesting? Mom and I are open to all sorts of ideas!

Happy late Thanksgiving for our fellow American friends—Mom says that when you work retail, you should be happy that you remember to wish anyone anything during this season, so I’m happy with one day late! We hope you're all having a good month! I hope to write more soon!

Later,

November 3rd, 2013

Things have been pretty busy lately. Mom still works at the bookstore, and Oliver is still a handful. Mom says that he is lucky that he’s cute.

2013-11-02 11.32.00

He does this a lot. Look so cute that Mom can’t help but forgive him for everything. She takes him to puppy training classes every Thursday night. There are two other puppies there this time, Bruiser, a shih tzu, and George, a labradoodle. They’re both very nice puppies and Oliver loves to play with them! Mom wants to take a picture of them playing!

Things on my own front have been pretty quiet. Mom brought home a new Build-a-Bear My Little Pony named Twilight Sparkle.

2013-10-09 21.59.37

Mom took this picture with her ipad and some photo app, so it looks different to what she really looks like. Twilight Sparkle also came with Spike, a baby dragon!

So that’s what’s happening around here! I managed to write an entry a month for two months in a row! I hope I’ll have lots of Christmas-ey things to report next time!

October 6th, 2013

Things are pretty much the same around here. Oliver is still a handful! He has grown to his full size, a respectable 15 pounds (about 7 kg). Mom thinks that he might get more muscle, but he hasn’t gotten any bigger in a while.

Mom’s work is still yucky, so that’s why we haven’t posted a lot lately. Mom took a picture of me with her ipad, and I thought that we could share it—and then I talked her into writing up this post!

2013-10-05 21.11.24

Mom says that things will change once she gets a different job—and we will post more. She has been fiddling with making a miniature farmyard for the little ones. The shed broke, so now she has to put it back together, but here’s a picture of what it looks like all together.

Sooner or later, there will be more grass, a vegetable plot, and a chicken coop!

I hope you’re all having a good day, and I hope Mom will be in the mood to write more soon!

Long time no see!

Again, I know. It is difficult to blog with the laptop when Oliver is around. He likes to sit on the laptop.

tn_2013-04-30 Oliver (2)

He used to look like that. He weighed 4 pounds when he first came to live with us.

tn_2013-08-09 Oliver (11)

This is Oliver now. Mom says he is a force to be reckoned with. He weighs 15 pounds now. That’s about 6.8 kilograms. Mom says he has two speeds, on and off, and there’s not much in between! He likes sticks, running around, and car rides. He sleeps with Mom and me.

He has had his moment of internet fame as well. Mom uploaded some pictures of him to a website called the Daily Puppy. It said that they got thousands of admissions and it would be a long time before they got to ours. She thought it would just be kind of a lark—just try to see what would happen. Little did we know, they chose Ollie to be the daily puppy the very next day! We almost missed it! We were pretty happy!

I’m going to try to get Mom to share some pictures she took when she went to a ship festival. She got to go on two ships and the pictures were pretty cool!

May 6th, 2013

I would like to introduce someone new today! He is our new puppy friend! He came to live with us last Monday. His name is Oliver Wendell Holmes. (Mom likes fancy names!) He is a brown and white Boston terrier.

He was born on March 6th, 2013. Mom doesn't quite trust him to take a picture of us both together quite yet! We will post more pictures later!

April 20th, 2013

Things have been pretty quiet here. We're still trying to find a new puppy, and we still miss Princess. There is a puppy in Illinois that Mom found. We're trying to make an appointment to see him, but the lady seems to be very busy.

tn_2013-04-16 Robinson and Marlowe (2)

A few days ago, Mom took Robinson to Build-a-Bear to get new clothes. Robinson doesn't fit clothes very well, and Mom had an idea to bring him with to make sure he fit them. She got talking to the very nice manager lady, and she put more stuffing inside him! (Robinson doesn't know, but he might go back to get some of the stuffing removed, because he's a bit too firm now!) Now, Robinson can sit up on his own!

Mom went to Build-a-Bear to bring home a new friend. When Mom was a little girl, she loved My Little Pony. She is amused that it is so popular now! One bright side to this is that there is very cool things to buy! We welcomed Rainbow Dash, a MLP BAB into our hug!

She seems like a very nice girl, and we're all looking forward to getting to know her!

We tried posting this with Blogsy, but Mom either quite hasn’t gotten the handle of it, or it’s just not going to make the posts as pretty as Mom wants them to be. So we had to redo it!

March 8th, 2013

My mom's parents left on their vacation to Alabama. That means that more of my friends can come downstairs and sit with us!

Robinson and Foster appreciate the change in scenery!

February 21st, 2013

For Mom's tax return, she bought herself a brand new iPad. We have been playing with it a lot lately. (It's a good distraction!) There are all sorts of apps that we can play, including a Disney Cars one. Mom found a little Lightning McQueen at Goodwill that was part of it!

One reason Mom wanted an iPad was for her photography. There are a lot of really interesting photo apps. She has taken a few pictures of me, played with them on the iPad, and posted them on Flickr. This is one of them that she took today. We're new at the Blogger app, and I don't see how to insert the photo and keep on writing after it. I guess this is going to be the end of this entry!

February 8th, 2013

We were going to tell you all about what had happened in the month of January, but the day before yesterday, our dog, Princess, passed away. So we’re not in a very posting mood right now. She was 11 years old. Mom’s parents found her passed away in her cage when they can home from work. We’re glad that it happened at home and it was quick and quiet. It’s still sad, since Princess was our friend. We’ll post in a couple of days.

tn_2012-12-20 Christmas Tree (11)

So, I guess I ought to start out by saying Mom and I are really sorry that it’s been so long. Mom helps me write in my blog when she’s feeling creative, and that hasn’t happened in a very long time.

We try to keep my blog happy. There really hasn’t been a lot of happy around here. Mom’s been feeling rather flat lately. She says that it mostly has to do with work, with a smattering of feeling rather useless. Working retail during the Christmas season is never fun, and it surely did not disappoint this year.

tn_2012-12-20 Christmas Tree (7)

She tends to want to be by herself during these times, and it certainly is not helping. We spend a lot of time sitting and playing on the computer—which mostly consists of reading things online and tending to her family tree.

She tries to remember that we have some really great friends online, and ought to spend more time talking to them. The nice people at the Bear Club auto-mailed me a happy birthday email and it almost made her tear up! The Christmas cards that I’ve been receiving have done the same thing!

We’re going to try for one post a month right now. Mom is going to help Wren with her blog a little later in the month as well. Here’s hoping that this works out!
