Mom and I have some time, so we thought we would pop in for a bit. Things have been all right around here. Not too exciting, but I guess that’s a good thing!

This is a picture from today—with filters and such from her ipad. I like the bright sun! It seems like it hasn’t been sunny for ages! And it was even a nice temperature, 35* F (about 2* C). I told Mom that she should have taken me outside!

Oliver is still being Oliver. He’s 24 pounds (almost 11 kg) now. He has lots of puppy muscles! Mom says that he is still a force to be reckoned with. I think he’s certainly a handful!

Mom has decided to go back to school. This time, it is for web design. She says that it is a much better career for her if she ever gets to become a hermit. (I like that idea because then I get to be around all the time!) I like it because now she sits at the computer for longer times and I can help her. We also think that we might play with my blog and change things up a little bit once she figures out some more things!

Besides learning through school, we’ve been playing with a website called CodeAcademy. It’s fun! We’ve been doing stuff with HTML and CSS. Mom says that she is glad that most of it is already done here on Blogger! This is the main page that she has to use for one of her classes’ assignments. It’s very simple, but Mom says you have to start somewhere. (Her photography website is done with an editor that does most of the programming for you, so it’s fancier quicker!) We will keep you all updated on it, since it’s a part of making Mom a happier person, therefore more posting!

Mom has today off from work! She says that it has something to do with the Labor Day holiday, but I’m not going to complain. Things are much more interesting when Mom’s around. She’s much more able to get us different books to read, different television channels to watch, and different things to talk about!

Today we were talking about fall. I like trees, and I like it when they change colors. Mom explained to me why trees turn different colors and it’s very interesting.  Most of our trees in our front yard turn yellow. Some of them just turn brown. Mom says that trees can turn red, orange, or yellow. I want to see a tree that turns red. I’ve seen pictures of them on the internet. Do the trees where you live turn any pretty colors?

The apples in the small orchard in our front yard are turning colors now too. Mom says that some of them aren’t meant for eating—some of them are meant for making into pies or applesauce. No matter what they’re meant for, I think it sounds good. We were going to go outside to the orchard today, but she fell asleep by mistake. Since I fell asleep too, I really can’t be too angry!

My job as homework bear is going well. She has been doing all her homework on time. We spent some time today doing homework. While I love learning, I’m glad that teddy bears don’t usually have a lot of homework. We do have classes sometimes—we all help each other learn new things. Milton and Fleur, who are older then me, help some of the younger plushies learn. But on the Bear Club, one of my friends has to go to school every weekend for five hours! On both days! The school even has a website and a teacher. He looks kind of scary to me—but Mom says that he’s probably a very nice fellow. I’m glad that my mom and friends are my teachers!

My mom is on vacation! She's been spending lots of time with us. She's been reading us books, letting us listen to whatever music we want to, and having lots of snuggles! It's been lots of fun. I've been helping her with her math. She's taking algebra at the local technical college for her degree. Being a bear makes lots of subjects easy for me, and math just happens to be one of them! I like algebra-- with all the neat rows of numbers and letters. It's a lot easier for me to tell Mom what to write though! Bear paws don't work well with pencils!

Then for her social studies class, we read a chapter on the US Constitution and took notes. I don't mind history at all-- especially American history, but it was kind of boring! She says that the book moves quickly onto more current subjects, so I'm glad about that!
