We were going to tell you all about what had happened in the month of January, but the day before yesterday, our dog, Princess, passed away. So we’re not in a very posting mood right now. She was 11 years old. Mom’s parents found her passed away in her cage when they can home from work. We’re glad that it happened at home and it was quick and quiet. It’s still sad, since Princess was our friend. We’ll post in a couple of days.

Here are a few more pictures from our Sunday photography shoot. Mom loves the way these pictures look, and I have to agree with her!
On Flickr, she mentions that she thinks I ought to take a bath—I don’t really agree with that though!
Princess helped with the photography shoot. Mom says she was quality control.
The American Girls came outside with us. Mom’s in the middle of making pajamas for them, so they’ve been getting trips downstairs with my plushie friends and I.
Molly is the next subject of her seamstress skills. She says that my plushie friends and I have plenty of clothes, but the AG girls don’t. Sigh. I like new clothes though!
And because it makes Mom happy, a picture of the sky!

I hope you all had a great holiday! Mine was pretty sweet!
Apparently, Princess was feeling a little bit left out of the photography business today when we took pictures of my Christmas presents. She pushed her way into the photo and wouldn’t leave. Mom says that she’s lucky she’s so cute!
I got some clothes, a domo calendar, and a little recycled plastic glider guy.
And a photo with Princess, of course!

We’re doing pretty good about producing blog posts early. Mom says that this time last year we didn’t have any posts at all. Now we have some posts with some only moderately decent pictures! Maybe next year at this time we’ll have some posts with lovely pictures!
This blog post’s book is called You Are My I Love You, by a lady named Mary Ann Cusimano Love. It is a very sweet book about how much a parent loves their child. I love the fact that the characters are teddy bears!
Today, Pine, my dog, wanted to come and help me read the book. He is always a lot of help—even if sometimes he gets in the way a bit!
The book has a sweet rhyming rhythm in it. I think it would make a good lullaby.
“I am your push; you are my swing.
I am your audience; you are my clown.
I am your London Bridge; you are my falling down.”
He wanted to get right in there! He was helping me hold the book down in this picture.
Mom says that this book would make a great baby shower present, or for a beloved child. We bought our copy at Goodwill just because Mom liked it so much. (She saw it at work.)
And finally, because I can—a Princess picture. She was also helping Mom take the pictures, but she is too big to sit on my lap!
Talk to you all later! I hope you are having a great day!!

I have been helping my mom check her social networking profiles today. She showed me Beanie Mouse’s profile, Tat and Tat 2’s profile, and Miranda Ixie’s profile. I was wondering if you all thought that I should get a Facebook profile. I don’t really spend a lot of time online doing things for me—it’s usually watching Mom do her online thing! But I obviously would have plenty of friends to talk to—maybe I’d have more friends then Mom does! (That’s already happened on my twitter page!)
I couldn’t figure out a picture to put on here—so Mom and I decided that a bulldog picture is always apropos no matter what I write about!

I have lots of news to share. I have decided to spread it out a bit. The first is that I got a package from Beanie a few days ago! It made me very happy! I love getting mail and packages! Mom says that I get more good mail and packages then she ever would!
Princess, our dog, decided to help. She is always very interested in things that come in the mail. Or in bags from outside. Or pretty much anything she can stick her head inside and sniff.
Here we are after Mom opened it. Princess is making sure she approves of everything inside!
Look at the beautiful bag! It has all sorts of cool things inside like pencils and paper! I was very impressed! Mom says that we will try our hand (or paw) at making a card and post our results!
Isn’t it pretty! And it’s even Mom’s favorite color, purple!
And a postcard! Yeah!! We all thank Beanie and his Mom for the great present! We are gathering our own package to send back!

Mom was really impressed when we found the Bear Club. When we found the Bear Place, we were even more impressed. In the past couple of days, we’ve found several other teddy social networking websites! Now we’re impressed with the availability of such places for plushies to meet other plushies! We did sign up for an account on Fofurree. Our friend, Tat, is on there. We also found a place called Soft Toys and TeddyandCo! Who would have thought that there were five places on the internet for bears to hang out. We didn’t make an account for the other two. Mom says that along with Twitter, I have enough things to do. (We found these other places by clicking links and googling things that we found via Twitter! )
There seemed to be plenty of entries on Twitter for the Teddy Olympics! I wish I would have entered the napping event! Some of the other entrants looked like they were having very nice naps! And the eating events—the food that some of those plushies were eating looked very good! We will have to plan better for next year! I can practice all year long! We can also take the photos all year long too so we can chose the best ones for the event itself!
Princess, our old English bulldog, allowed me to sit near her and pet her a few days ago. She is a good dog most of the time but sometimes awfully cranky! She’s never hurt me, but she’s pushed me off the couch a few times! On my Picasa folder, there are a few pictures of her letting me get closer to her. She sniffed my hand and let me sit next to her for a while before she grew bored and left!

Much like my friend here, Buttons BeCause, I’ve decided to write a little post about what I am thankful for on this fine Thanksgiving day. Mom says that it is important to keep these things in mind. We have read books about Thanksgiving and I know that I should be glad for what I have! I would never be able to live like the Pilgrims did! No electricity!? Not to say that besides the house and outside, none of these things even existed when they were around! I am not meant to be a bear who needs to ‘rough it!’ I am definitely a bear suited to more modern conveniences! (Mom says that she’s a human who is suited to modern conveniences, so it all works out!)
I am thankful for:
- My family—even if Chloe sometimes drives me crazy with her girly-ness and Foster ignores me.
- My friends—makes long days very interesting!
- Princess, our dog!
- Books!
- Our house! It’s much warmer inside!
- Outside—nature, and trees and the such!
- Naps! And blankets!
- The computer and the internet—it brought me to meet all of you!
- Cookies and chocolate.
- Television.
- And many other things!
Can you think of anything else I’ve forgotten? What are you all thankful for!

Mom says that she knows that she mentioned that she wasn’t going to have enough time to blog. She says that it cheers her up to help me blog here, so she’s been making time for it. She had ‘one of those days’ at work, so blogging will cheer her up some. I’m lucky that bears rarely have ‘one of those days’ at work, and since I don’t have a job, I don’t think that will be happening to me any time soon.
She did do some of her homework today, so I guess I’m not being lax in my duties as homework bear. We’re currently watching Iron Chef America. We’re watching it because Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto is on. He was on the original Iron Chef. Mom used to watch it when she was younger. I think it is interesting, but the food on it is very bear-unfriendly! Today’s food—coconut—is not a really bear friendly food. (Yeah! Iron Chef Morimoto won!!)
This is Princess. She is our Mom’s dog. She is our buddy when we sit downstairs and watch TV. She also likes the pizza—and several other human foods. Her favorite treat though is liver treats. We share the pizza, but I don’t want to share the liver treats! We also share cheese, crackers, and toast. Sometimes, we will also share blankets. She loves blankets as much as Mom and I do. I like cuddling under the blankets—she mostly just wants to be on the top of them. This is usually a good thing, because she’s a very warm dog—good for snuggling on cold days!
Mom says that it is time to go to bed. She’s got to go to school in the morning!
