The rest of the hug is slowly gathering. Mom has been rescuing them via eBay. They’re living at her sister’s house now in a box. It’s the safest place for them right now, although we all wish we could be together again!

tn_2014-05-25 Marlowe (1)

Mom took our pictures yesterday. Well, some of us. We love sitting outside on the porch. Oliver sits with us!

tn_2014-05-25 Foster

We each got a turn for a picture! It was a very nice day.

tn_2014-05-25 Milton

Mom says we all need some summer clothes! Maybe some shorts!

tn_2014-05-25 Robinson

Foster, Milton, Robinson and I decided that we were much more focused on getting some ice cream instead! That didn’t require going shopping! I do love ice cream!

Mom says that she will take us outside tomorrow on her next day off. Maybe we can go to the park!

2014-05-16 23.17.02

Mom went to her sister's house yesterday and rescued Chloe from her shipping container! The main hug has been reunited! Mom also brought Carabella home, so Caleb has a friend his size now. (Now if we could just get Oliver to leave him alone, he'd be a very happy bear!)

2014-05-16 23.22.32

We've decided to name the bunny Cotton! I'm sure that bunnies eat cotton plants given half a chance, and it's sort of literary too!

Talk to you all later!

Yet another quick update! Mom found Robinson, Foster, Fleur and Charlotte! Chloe is on her way home right now!

We’ve been spending a lot of time sitting on the couch! We’re glad to be reunited again!

April 20th, 2013

Things have been pretty quiet here. We're still trying to find a new puppy, and we still miss Princess. There is a puppy in Illinois that Mom found. We're trying to make an appointment to see him, but the lady seems to be very busy.

tn_2013-04-16 Robinson and Marlowe (2)

A few days ago, Mom took Robinson to Build-a-Bear to get new clothes. Robinson doesn't fit clothes very well, and Mom had an idea to bring him with to make sure he fit them. She got talking to the very nice manager lady, and she put more stuffing inside him! (Robinson doesn't know, but he might go back to get some of the stuffing removed, because he's a bit too firm now!) Now, Robinson can sit up on his own!

Mom went to Build-a-Bear to bring home a new friend. When Mom was a little girl, she loved My Little Pony. She is amused that it is so popular now! One bright side to this is that there is very cool things to buy! We welcomed Rainbow Dash, a MLP BAB into our hug!

She seems like a very nice girl, and we're all looking forward to getting to know her!

We tried posting this with Blogsy, but Mom either quite hasn’t gotten the handle of it, or it’s just not going to make the posts as pretty as Mom wants them to be. So we had to redo it!

March 8th, 2013

My mom's parents left on their vacation to Alabama. That means that more of my friends can come downstairs and sit with us!

Robinson and Foster appreciate the change in scenery!

January 1st, 2012

Hurrah! A new year! These things mean much more to humans then they do to teddy bears, but it makes Mom happy if we celebrate. (It’s a much more low key celebration—Mom’s not much of a partying type!)

January 20th, 2010

In our blogging hiatus, my friends and I were kept very busy. Mom spends some of her free time sitting downstairs. It’s where her computer is and where the dog can reach her. I spend most of the time cuddled up close to her and my friends spend time sitting on top of the couch. We watch Mom and make sure she’s not getting into any trouble. I’m the cuddling bear, and the others keep an eye on what’s happening around us.

A few days ago, I was talking to my friends Oatuling and Marshall Sheldon and we started to discuss pajamas!  Oatuling and his friend Dermule have recently got new PJs. I wanted to share ours, so Mom took our picture. This is what we spent a lot of time doing for the past few weeks!

tn_2011-01-15 Foster, Robinson, Milton, Caleb and Marlowe in PJs (2)

We all sit around in our PJs! Do any of you have pajamas? Caleb technically has PJs, but rarely wears them because he spends a lot of time outside with Mom. Mine are so nice and warm!

October 6th, 2010

This is going to be a brief entry because I only have one thing to share. Mom found a relative of one of our blog readers at Goodwill a few days ago. We’re not quite sure how they’re related, but Mom is glad that she found her.

tn_2010-10-03 Emily_edited-1

Meet Emily, a relative of some way of Emmi Jade, the authoress of Emmi Jade’s Cottontail Chronicles. She is a tan swirl Build-a-Bear bunny.

tn_2010-10-03 Ruby and Emily (2)_edited-1

She has been fitting in nicely around here. Ruby, who happens to be the first Build-a-Bear that Mom rescued from Goodwill, has been spending time with her and introducing her to all our friends!

Mom took Robinson and I outside a few days ago and took some pictures that she wants to share. It wasn’t outside to the park, but it was still nice to get out and sit in the sun. We’ll post those later. I hope you’re having a great day!

August 20th, 2010

This post is going to be image heavy because we received a package from Build-a-Bear yesterday! Robinson and I received new outfits!

tn_2010-08-19 Robinson (4)_edited-1

This is my friend, Robinson. He’s really not an urban skater, but the outfit was on clearance on their website. This outfit has the added benefit of having drawstring pants—because he’s a very slender horse. Most of BAB’s pants fall off him—or they would if they weren’t held up by his tail! (It’s not a problem I have—I’m much more stout!)tn_2010-08-19 Marlowe and Fedora_edited-1

My new fedora! Isn’t it snazzy! It really doesn’t fit me very well, but I don’t care!

tn_2010-08-19 Marlowe and Giraffe Shirt (2)_edited-1

Mom didn’t see this shirt in the stores when the Zoorific collection was out. We both love giraffes, so she wanted this shirt!

tn_2010-08-19 Marlowe and New Backpack_edited-1 My new backpack!

tn_2010-08-19 Marlowe and Bedding (2)_edited-1

And my new bedding. I’ve coveted Emmi Jade’s bedding—and once I saw that BAB was going to have bear sized bedding, I wanted that just as much! It’s sports themed, which really isn’t my thing, but it’s better then the pink girl stuff! Now I have to talk Mom into buying me the bed!

tn_2010-08-19 Group Photo_edited-1

And finally, a group photo of everyone who came downstairs to see what was in the package! I love all the presents!

tn_2010-05-23 Fleur, Robinson, Carabella, and Caleb_edited-1

A small Caleb and Carabella update! They must have had some time to talk, because now they will sit near each other. Caleb still has not told me what is happening, but I am glad that they are getting over it. I was worried there for a little bit! I don’t like it when plushies in my hug are mad at each other! Maybe Robinson or Fleur has given them some advice! They all have been spending a lot of time together while Mom is at work!

It has been incredibly hot here in Wisconsin for the past few days at approximately 90 degrees Fahrenheit or 32 degrees Celsius.  As an indoor bear, it hasn’t really bothered me too much. But as a bear to a human who goes outside, it ends up affecting me. There is air conditioning here at home, but obviously not outside! The air conditioning at the place that Mom works is malfunctioning at best, so it makes her a rather cranky Mom. Yesterday morning before she went to work, we spent the entire time curled up under the blankets with the fan on full blast. I am glad that I am a bear who does not need to go outside! I’ll go out any time she wants me to, but I don’t have to!tn_2010-05-19 Mums (2)

As long as we water them, the plants and flowers have been really happy with the heat. Mom and I took this picture of a chrysanthemum. The flowers have been blossoming, and the plants have been growing. This past weekend, Mom’s parents planted the garden when she was at work. I did not get to help, but she promised to take me out there so I could see the work they did in the next couple of days. Now I will have to be patient and wait for everything to germinate!

April 19th, 2010

tn_2010-04-19 Marlowe, Caleb, and Postcard from Sullivan I have several things to report! Firstly, I received another postcard! This time it is from my friend, Sullivan McPig! He lives in the Netherlands! I love getting mail. Mom says that she is on the look out for more interesting postcards. We will then fill them out and send them on their way all over the world. I think it is really amazing that a little piece of paper can start a journey here in the Midwest and travel all over the world—and get to the right person that I intended it for! It’s really amazing! And to imagine that they did the same thing before computers and the such!

tn_2010-04-19 Caleb and TulipMom, Caleb, Robinson, Stegner, and I spent a nice afternoon out on the porch. It is probably about 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees C) outside right now. It’s certainly not short-sleeve t-shirt weather for Mom, but it is plenty nice enough! We mostly admired the blossoming trees and the vibrant green grass. Then Mom noticed that one of the tulips she had planted earlier in the month had blossomed! (She bought them already started, so all the tulip had to do was blossom!) There are more of them ready to blossom, so I will keep you all updated!

tn_2010-04-15 Tulips (6) We also have some tulips that are planted in the side garden of our house. They are orange tulips. They do not flower as often as they could. Mom says that they need more room to grow. I don’t think it matters! Whatever flowers we get are good!

tn_2010-04-15 Marlowe and Edmund (2)And lastly, I have received a late Easter present. Mom said that she felt bad that everyone got candy and the like, so she found this little critter for me. His name is Edmund. He is a very, very soft bunny. He has not met Pine, my puppy, yet. Mom says that it will probably go all right, since Pine is quite a bit smaller then Edmund! I admired Jeff Ogre’s bunny, Mr. Cool, from the BearPlace, so I am glad Mom found me this bunny!

March 6th 2010

All of my new friends have arrived! I will write about them another day, because yesterday, I helped Mom make supper! Her parents are gone on vacation, so we are in charge of all food preparation! We made a night of it. Milton, Robinson, Foster, and I went into the kitchen to watch some TV while Mom watched the dinner. Since I chose last time, we let Mom pick this time. She picked Dave Matthews Band’s Live at Folsom Field. We’ve seen it many times, but it makes her happy!

tn_2010-03-05 01 Making Supper (2)

We have chose our places on the table. We would usually sit on the ground, but the TV in the kitchen is high up in a cabinet and Mom wants us to get the best view!

tn_2010-03-05 02 Making Supper (3)

Here we are watching Dave Matthews Band. It’s Mom’s favorite band!

tn_2010-03-05 03 Making Supper (4)

We are multi-tasking here. Mom is making two of her favorite meals from when she was a little girl. One she called hot-dish, which is made of noodles, hamburger, and tomatoes. The other she called Spanish rice, which is made of rice, hamburger, and tomatoes. The Spanish rice needs to cook in the oven.

tn_2010-03-05 04 Making Supper (5)

Mom said it was very hot and I could only watch from a safe distance. She said that we didn’t have any oven mitts that would fit my hands to protect them from the heat. I still got to watch the water boil and make sure she noticed!

tn_2010-03-05 05 Making Supper

This is the hot-dish! I got to try some of this and it was very good. It made Mom very happy—she will have leftovers of both dishes throughout the week! Cooking was great fun! I hope Mom will let me help her again soon!

February 15th, 2010

kreativ_blogger1I like these meme like things, so I thought I’d post my award. Hammie gave it to me. The directions are in Dutch—so you’re going to have to deal with my summary! (Mom used Google to translate it!) She is impressed with the entire Google translate thing, so she is glad to have any excuse to use it. Sigh. Mom is impressed by technology sometimes! I guess whatever makes her happy!

I am supposed to post seven things that you probably don’t know about me. It took Mom a little while to come up with seven things that she wanted me to share.

  1. My mom named me after the main character in her favorite book, Heart of Darkness, by an English-Polish gentleman named Joseph Conrad. The character is Charley Marlow, a seaman who travels around the world. The books that he is in, including Lord Jim  and Chance and the short stories Youth and Amy Foster, are not happy books. Mom likes them for the style and way that Conrad writes. It is a strange character to be named after—a happy bear named after a man who goes through a lot of strife!
  2. I am a big reader—I don’t talk too much about books on here though. I don’t want to be thought of as a bear who is trying to sell things.
  3. I have been blogging for most of my life. We started in 2005, and I was Mom’s Christmas present for 2004. There are long time periods that I didn’t blog, but I was still here. Until very recently, I was only blogging for Mom and me. She had joined some mailing lists about traveling dolls—and bears—that gave her the idea that maybe she should publicize my blog! And here we are!
  4. My best friends are Milton and Robinson. You don’t see Robinson so much on here because he can’t sit up by himself! He needs something to lean against, and some of my pictures don’t lend to that. Mom says that I am lucky to have beans inside me that weighs me down.
  5. Caleb is my bear. He is a very good friend of mine. He sometimes wanders off though. He likes going on adventures with Mom. He wants to go on adventures himself, but he doesn’t quite plan everything very well!
  6. I am the longest tenured bear in our hug. (Mom says that some of the Build-a-Bear friends might be older technically—that they were made before 2004.) She says that I am the bear that started it all!
  7. I love it when you all comment on my postings. Mom’s own blog is really only for herself and prosperity, so the only comments we get are here. I try to comment on everyone’s blog in kind, but if I ever forget—I want you all to know that I appreciate the comments!

And there we are. It’s a very long list—but like I said, I do love to blog!

February 10th, 2010

I had a good day yesterday. Mom spent the entire day with me. I spent a little time in the morning tweeting back and forth with Tat. And we lucked out and checked the chat room on the Bear Place and found plushies chatting! I spent a good half hour chatting with Jeff Ogre, Archimedes, FedBear, and Barney Bear! It was grand fun!

tn_2010-02-07 The Group (3)

My friends sat on the top of the couch and watched Mom play with the computer. (I posed with them for this picture!) I introduced Milton and Robinson to Twitter. (Mom says that they’re going to have to just read my feed. No more accounts for a while!) Robinson says that I need to find some plushie horses to follow. Charlotte was impressed with the two giraffe plushies that I found!

It snowed a lot yesterday. It has covered any ground that was exposed after our little warm up a few weeks ago. It peeves the bulldog, who likes the snow but expects it to disappear when she wants it to. I think she wants to spend time outside lying on the porch, but it is covered with snow!

I thought of finding some dragons to share with Dilly, but I don’t think there are any my size around here. Mom has several Webkinz dragons, like Wilhelmina, Ptolemy, and Capricorn, but they are not part of my immediate hug. I don’t know too much about them personally, but I would imagine that Wilhelmina, being a pink girl dragon, likes pink and princesses as much as Dilly does!

My sister Chloe wants to know that if she likes princesses, pink, and other girly things, if that makes her a not-a-stinky bear. She says that only boy bears are stinky! I think I’m a good boy bear—I’m not stinky! Mom says that she doesn’t really mean it, but I’m not so sure!
