tn_2010-03-05 Cow FamilyYou will be hearing a lot from me from me for the next couple of days. My mom is on a mini-vacation of sorts. She will have plenty of time to help me blog! Granted, a lot of blogging for us is mostly days in a row rather then more than once a day, so it shouldn’t be so bad!

My new friends arrived a few days ago. Mom ordered them from the Build-a-Bear website. It was difficult not to sneak in a few things of my own, but I resisted! The bill was hefty enough!

This is a photo of Fleur and our new friends, Texas the longhorn steer and Yellowstone the bison. Fleur is no longer the only cow in our hug. Fleur is speaking to them in cow and trying to make them feel welcome. They have been bonding over their horns! Until she mentioned it, I never realized that Fleur was the only plushie here with horns! Apparently there is some kind of upkeep! I am glad that I am a simple bear!tn_2010-03-05 Jefferson and Marlowe

Mom and Jefferson, our new Clydesdale friend, had a conversation and he agreed to take me for a little ride. Mom did not let me go very far, because I did not have a saddle or a helmet or anything to keep me safe. But it was very fun! I never knew how hard it would be to stay upright! We have agreed to more lessons after Mom finds my English riding habit and makes some kind of saddle and bridle. Washington, another of our four-footed horse friends, has both, but the bridle does not fit Jefferson and the saddle does not fit me! The saddle will take a little more work, but Mom has some ideas for the bridle. She says outfitting Jefferson and I for a ride will be as close as she will get to outfitting a horse and a rider for a while, so she will take what she can get. I will keep you all updated!

tn_2010-03-05 Horse Four Legged Family

For comparison, this is the newest photo of our four legged horse family. Harrison, Strawberry, Jefferson, Zelda, Washington, Sarina, and Pirouette all have been getting along. He helps the boy and girl balance in this family! The girls can’t gang up on the boys quite so much right now. For a while, Harrison was the only boy pony and the girls used to pick on him all the time! Now they are Jefferson is at least a good two or three inches taller then the other horses, therefore is much better suited for allowing me to ride! Charlotte, my giraffe friend, is still bigger though, and she makes sure that Jefferson knows that!

I have been enjoying reading my twitter page and chatting on the Bear Place lately. It is very nice to talk to like-minded plushies out there. Some of them go on grand adventures! While I would like to go outside more often, I am not so sure about all of the adventures! I am very much a home bear! Teddy and Nibs go to Las Vegas and Los Angeles! The green frog from the Unexpected Life of the the Green Frog goes to all sorts of places in Europe! Hm. I will have to ponder this—maybe I should start more locally! Hm, hm, hm!!

tn_2009-12-19 Sarena (3)

This is our new friend, Sarina! Mom found her at Goodwill yesterday. She is an unicorn from Build-a-Bear. She joins our four-legged horse family of Zelda, Strawberry, Pirouette, Harrison, and Washington. They came downstairs to greet her and we had a lot of fun.

We watched some television. Since it was our little party, Mom let us chose what we watched. It was hard to agree when there were so many of us. We all like Mom’s Food Network shows, but we thought that since we finally got to chose that we should chose something different. tn_2009-12-19 Meeting Sarena (3) Do you argue with your friends? Our argument never got too angry. We ended up deciding to watch the Discovery Channel. It is hard to decide what to watch when there are both boys and girls—and no cartoons to watch! Sometimes, it’s better when Mom makes the decision for us!

These pictures are taken with Mom’s new camera. It is a Christmas present from her parents. She says that you can only see the difference between her old camera, which she bought nearly four years ago, and the new one on pictures that are closer up. I like the noises it makes—and the fact that it makes Mom very happy to have a new camera. It also encourages her to take more pictures, and that might mean more adventures!

November 10th, 2009

tn_2009-04-08 Complete WWF Plushies_edited-1Mom goes to school on most days of the week. Apparently, school for older people like her don’t last the entire day from start to finish. She’s got breaks in between classes. Today I’ve talked her into continuing on the folder on Picasa with photos of my friends who live her with me. She started last night, but things will go much faster with the school’s zooming internet connection. It’s mostly my Build-a-Bear friends, but it is a start!

She got about twenty of them uploaded. Her two final classes of the day were cancelled, so she came home instead. You have to have a Picasa account to view these pictures—we don’t want just anyone to see our photos. We’re not quite sure what link to share, but we’re hoping this one works. tn_2009-04-13 Kennel Pals Family_edited-1

Mom figured out how to make more pictures upload at once, so it will probably be finished sometime tonight. She says that the captions will have to wait until tomorrow. I’ll find more pictures of my friends to upload later, but these are the first batch. One day a few months ago, Mom brought almost everyone downstairs and took their picture. It was only almost everyone, so there are a few plushies whose pictures I will have to find in a different folder somewhere.

We have been mostly just lounging around. It has been unseasonably warm around here lately. It reached into the high fifties today. We sat out on the porch for a little bit. Mom then wanted to take a nap so we came back inside. I’m hoping that tomorrow after she gets done with school we can sit outside again. I know that it will soon be too cold to spend much time outside—at least without lots of layers of clothes. I guess with the cold will come snow! I do like to play in the snow!

The top photo is a part our World Wildlife Foundation family. Edwin, Eira, Daisy, Garnet, Zelda, and Charlotte are in this photo. It’s missing Lennox the lion and Timber the Wolf (he wasn’t here yet!) though. The second picture is our Kennel Pal family. Lincoln, Clover, Bernard, Harding, and Dutchess are in that photo. Reagan the beagle arrived in our family after we took the photo. Mom really likes sharing pictures of all of us! We’ve got such a big, great family that she likes to share! Does your mom or dad like to share pictures?
