I've seemed to forget to introduce more of our new friends. So I'm going to start all over again.
Ambrose is a bear that Mom found at Goodwill. Mom says that he's a Build-a-Bear Bearamy plushie. He says that he lived with a little boy who had lots and lots of teddy bears. The little boy's Mom tossed Ambrose into the Goodwill bag by mistake. He says that he hopes that the little boy found a new teddy to love. He's glad though that he found a new home here. He likes all his new friends! Ambrose is interested in airplanes, birds, dinosaurs, and our pet lizard, Shakespeare. The little boy he lived with before was too young to read, so Robinson and I are teaching him how to read.
The next new friend is Fleur. Mom brought her home from Build-a-Bear. She's Chloe's new friend. Charlotte, Fleur, Opal, and Chloe talk about girly things now for hours. Fleur likes reading about other animals, princess stories, and crafts. She helps Mom make clothes for all of us. She helped Mom make a blanket for one of the little plush horses that she bought. I'm glad that Chloe has someone to talk to now. For a long time it was just all boys! Then Charlotte came, and then Opal, and now Fleur! With the new boys from Goodwill, we're even! Mom says that we're going to have enough friends soon to start a football team! I'd much rather play baseball.
Our next new friend is Friday. He's Robinson's cousin. Mom found him at Goodwill. He was excited to find out that Robinson lived with us! He's too small to be able to read all by himself yet, so we all read to him. He likes books with plenty of pictures of trucks and trains. Sometimes he'll run around the room with our toy fire engine for hours! He also likes to watch for the big trucks that drive past. Fleur and Ambrose watch out for him when Mom's not around. He likes to get stuck in strange places, like under the bed or under Mom's sewing table.
Milton is our newest friend. Mom picked him up at Build-a-Bear a week or so ago. Milton is older then the rest of us. He reads harder chapter books out loud to us. He helps Friday with the names of the cars and trucks that zoom by. He's still a little shy with the rest of us, but we all are trying to make him feel at home. He's helping Mom and I with the blog entry right now-- and he's enjoying helping! I hope that he learns to like the rest of us soon! Pieces of chocolate seem to be helping!
Nate is another bear that Mom rescued from Goodwill. Nate says that he was bought as a present for an older child who didn't like teddies. He was glad when Mom found him. He likes to watch the birds with me. He knows the names of some different birds, so that's fun. He came to our house wearing a golf t-shirt, but doesn't really like the game. He was also glad when Mom got him a new shirt! He'd much rather watch sports then play them. He likes birds, bugs, and sitting in the sun.
Opal has been here for a while. She's a Build-a-Bear chicken that Mom brought home around Easter. She enjoys talking to Chloe, Charlotte, and Fleur about girly things, but also likes to play around in the mud with the boys when Mom will let her. (She's got new clothes!) She likes the chicken and duck books that Mom brings home with her. She's the one that had to have a little surgery done on her foot when the string broke! It's all healed up now!
I am going to post this before it somehow disappears. But these are all our new friends!

Mom took LOTS of pictures today. I just wanted to share one. We've got another new friend living with us. Mom bought him from Build-A-Bear. His name is Milton. Our circle of friends keeps on getting bigger and bigger. But there's enough love to go around, so I don't mind! I'll share some more pictures in the next few days!

First, we had to water the garden. When we were out there, we found some tomatoes! They were yellow cherry tomatoes and they were very yummy! They were the first ripe tomatoes of the season. I love cherry tomatoes. They're very bear-size. Mom says that we're going to have many different varieties of tomatoes. She picked out several different varieties of heirloom tomatoes, along with red cherry, yellow cherry, yellow pear, and one that will produce huge tomatoes the size of a grown up's fist. I told her that I'd stick with the cherry tomatoes.
The next thing we had to do was water the plants on the porch. Mom just let me watch. Picking the cherry tomatoes through all the leaves was hard work. I like sitting on this chair though and watching the birds. There weren't any blue jays today though. Mom said that they probably wouldn't come around until she had stopped watering the plants. I wanted to wait outside until one showed up, but she said we had other things to do. Some doves and red-winged blackbirds didn't mind Mom's watering though, so I got to look at some birds! I love looking through Mom's bird books! It's as close as I'm going to get to some of the really colorful parrots or the huge birds of prey like a bald eagle.
Then we went back inside to have lunch! I got to help make lunch and then we came back upstairs. Mom read some books to all of us, and then we all took a little nap. Now I'm here, posting on my blog all the interesting things that I did today. We're going to have to go to bed soon, so I'm going to have to stop this here. Mom says that we can post more tomorrow or the next day!

I saw my first blue jay today. I know that they live around here, but I never seem to be in the right place at the right time! Mom says that there are three blue jays that live around our house. They come and eat the birdseed and the peanut that Mom's parents leave out. She even found a blue jay feather and brought it upstairs for us. This picture isn't the blue jay that I saw. Mom didn't have her camera with her. She said that she couldn't go and get it because moving might scare the bird away. The one here was even prettier then the one in the picture!

Today I spent my evening helping Mom water the plants on the porch. It was probably almost 8 in the evening-- so I was wearing my PJs. It was fun. The water was mighty powerful for a small bear like me, but Mom helped! I liked watering the plants. They need the water. It was almost 90 degrees today. We're probably going to have to water them again tomorrow. Mom had to move the sprinkler around on the big gardren out back when she got home from work. I liked the flowers on the plant that I'm standing next to in the picture. Mom calls it an elephant ear plant, although she's not sure what it's technically called. I think the pink flowers and the shiny leaves are pretty.
Here is the link to the book that I was talking about yesterday. Mom is a big fan of Kevin Henkes books. She has them all. This one is her favorite. It's called Chester's Way. I like how Chester and Wilson are best friends and do everything together. My best friend is Robinson. We do lots of things together too. We're both the only boys in our little group, so we stick together. Ambrose, Nate, and Friday moved in recently nearby though, so maybe we'll all become friends. We'd finally have closer to the same amount of boys as girls around here for a while!

My Mom has helped my friend Robinson make his own blog, here on blogger.com. It's at _http://robinsonchorse.blogger.com_ (http://robinsonchorse.blogger.com) . We're both going to help him work on it. He mostly wants to post things like mine, but much more horse-orientated. I hope it works out for him!
Today we spent a lot of the day reading. Mom brought us Kevin Henkes books home from her shopping. We've seen all of them before, but now we've got copies for ourselves. I like Chester's Way the most. I'll post a link to it on amazon.com tomorrow!

Things have been pretty quiet around here lately. Mom has been working a lot, so we don't get to go outside as much as we used to. She did help us all go outside when she had to water all the plants on the porch a few days ago. The sun was very nice. I do admit that I like being in the air conditioned house the most though. Teddy fur keeps you warm in the winter, but it can make you awfully hot in the summer too!
Opal, one of the Build-a-Bear friends that Mom has brought home recently, had a little ouchie today. One of the strings that holds her toes together disappeared! Mom had to sew it back together! It was pretty quick, but Opal said it hurt! Mom gave her lots of encouragement and hugs though, so now she's okay. (Opal is a chicken!) Mom wrapped her foot up so it wouldn't get hurt again until the stitch heals. She's going to be all right, but we all worried about her!

This is a picture of our first new friend. Mom and I decided to post about them in alphabetical order. She says that's not playing favorites! I told her that I didn't think anyone would mind either way. But since she is the typist, we're going to tell you about Ambrose first.
This is Ambrose. He is one of the bears that Mom found at Goodwill. He told us that he came from a home where the little boy outgrew his teddy bears and gave them away. We told him he had a forever home here with us.

We have had a lot of excitement around here lately. Mom has brought home
several new friends. Our first new friend is a cow named Fluer. She came from
Build-a-Bear like most of my other friends did. Then Mom brought home Opal, a
chicken. On Saturday, Mom found two bears and one pony that needed a home.
We're all glad to see welcome them into our family! Pictures will follow!

I tried to climb a tree, but it was too scary. Mom had to help me down.
Then we went for a walk in the back property. Mom showed me this big rock. It’s twice as tall as I am!
Then we went back inside. Everyone was waiting for me. We watched some TV! It was a great day!
