Mom brought Caleb, my bear, to work today in her purse! Sometimes, he comes with her in her backpack. But she’s unable to look at him because she doesn’t want anyone to see his secret hiding place. But since she bought her new purse, there is much more room in there. So he took a little trip today in the safety of her purse! He said it was kind of fun. He sat in her purse on her lap during both of her breaks. He even peeked out and looked around when she was on her longer break and there wasn’t anyone in the break room. I’m WAY too big to fit in her purse, but maybe someday I can go to work with her in her backpack. I’ve gone to school with her--- and even to the zoo. I think work would be a great adventure!

Mom's new hobby lately is fishing, so she told me that I could go out with her soon. We already have the right equipment-- well, it's technically Franklin's, but he said I could borrow it. Today, Mom let me get dressed up in the waders and the nifty vest. She couldn't find the rubber boots she bought me, but I'll wear them once I get out on the lake! (Well, once she finds them!)
I like Mom's fishing pole better! It's got shiny parts and it makes cool whirling noises. She says that if I like fishing, we'll get me a better one. I hope it's a pretty color! Mom's is pink-- well, a dusty pink, but I want a blue one! Or purple maybe!

I wanted to introduce my new puppy! Mom says that every little boy should have his very own puppy. She bought me a little yellow lab puppy that I named Pine. I thought that he was the color of pine wood. He's a good little puppy. He gets along with Caleb, my own teddy bear, really well. It might be that they're both the same size though!
I am looking forward to taking him for walks. Mom says that little puppies need lots of walks to wear out the extra energy they have. I like going for walks, so it will all work out! Maybe we can get our picture taken outside soon.

I have been a pretty adventurous bear lately. I didn't get to get out of Mom's backpack, but I've been traveling with her on trips to her old apartment where she needs moral support. She says that she likes to know that I'm there. I think the backpack is crowded. I bumped my head on the top of the backpack continuously, so she lets me wear my biking helmet. It's a lot easier on my head!
Yesterday, I went with Mom to the in-classroom part of her internet speech class. She's going to have to give THREE speeches. I think she should give a speech on teddy bears! I can go with again!

Wisconsin has finally decided that spring has arrived. We were supposed to get a snowstorm this weekend, but it missed us. There are leaf buds on the trees, and the ground has taken a decidedly green tinge-- and Mom promises us that it not mold or moss! She promises us that some of us can go outside as soon as it dries out. She pointed out that we don't like getting cleaned, so the loads and loads of mud outside will have to dry out first. I told her that I don't mind wearing galoshes and I'd go outside in them-- I've even got a rainjacket! That didn't seem to work, so I'll work on her on that!

Today I am going to introduce my best friend, Robinson. Robinson is a floppy pony II from Build-a-bear. Mom bought him a long time ago, and he's been with our family nearly as long as I have. He was Mom's second Build-a-Bear. Robinson and I hang out a lot. We like talking about cars, books, and trees. Robinson really likes to know the names of the different kinds of trees we can see from our windows. He knows silver maple, apple, pine, and plum. He hopes that one day Mom will take him out somewhere with more kinds of trees!
Robinson has a cousin named Friday that I'll introduce on another post. He's only three years old, so Robinson spends some time each day trying to keep him out of trouble. Mom says that sometimes it's easier to keep out of trouble ourselves then keep Friday out of trouble and I agree! Friday really doesn't listen to reason, but Mom says that is because he is just a baby. I don't understand why that should be an excuse!

Mom has found a little bit of time to blog here today! I am becoming more and more fond of this Windows Live Writer thing. While I'm not sure I understand it all, it's still awfully cool. I always did like Mom's LiveJournal client. Everything was all in one place! Now I've got a program just like that!
Today I thought I would tell you about my sister, Chloe. She's the second bear to join our family. Mom bought her from Build-a-Bear, way back in 2006. She is a Curly Teddy II. I'm not quite sure what that means either, but Mom says it's important. Chloe is 3 years old, and likes to play with our siblings, who I will talk about later. I love my little sister, but I am glad that she has other plushies to play with. Sometimes she can be really loud and runs around. Mom says that she's got lots of energy and that is a good thing-- but I don't know about that!
Chloe likes all sorts of girly things. She likes unicorns, horses, and sparkly jewelry. She likes it when Mom buys her new clothes. She loves the bows that Mom puts on her ears. She wishes that they could be sparkly! Mom won't let her get her ears pierced until she's much older, so sparkly bows is as close and she's going to get!
She also likes having books read to her. Her favorite book is Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, by Kevin Henkes. I admit that that book is one of my favorites too! We've read it so many times that Chloe can say almost all the Lilly parts all by herself-- even though she can't read very well yet!
Next time, I will tell you more about my best friend, Robinson. He's the next plushie that came into our family so he comes next!
