Mom and I have been thinking about what to post for this entry. We thought we might talk about our giraffe friend, Charlotte, but she’s at Mom’s sister’s house right now. Then while browsing, we came up with the idea of Garrison Keillor, but that’s more of a Mom thing than a me thing. I came up with Mom’s favorite internet past-time, her genealogy, but she says that’s more about her than me.
So we came up with one more thing. Geography—well, the geography of our little family at least. Mom is from Wisconsin. She has lived here her entire life. We live in an area called the Fox Valley. It has been settled for a long time. Native Americans settled around here as early as 7000 BC! (Mom’s ancestors arrived here in the late 1800s and 1900s.)
Mom says that I am from China. We’re not sure exactly where in China though. Her mom found me after I was brought to the United States. China is a very interesting place. There have been human like creatures there since anywhere from 250,000 to 2.24 million years ago! (We’re not so sure about stuffed bears!)
Do any of you know where you’ve came from? Mom and I love history!
I hope you’re all having a great day! I hope to hear from you soon!

January 22nd, 2015
So we’re writing this at the end of December. It’s all part of Mom’s plan to make sure that we keep on writing entries. But that means that we’re going to take three weeks to tell you all that we got a new computer for Christmas! It’s got a touch screen that Mom needs to train herself to actually use. It runs Windows 10, which we’re hesitantly all right with.
It means that we got to update to the newest version of Windows Live Writer. It’s open source, and finally updated! The orginial Windows Live Writer hadn’t been updated since 2012, which is practically ancient in the computer world. We’ve only started playing with it, but it’s behaving just as the old version did. So if you’ve got a brand new computer, this version is worth it! (At least right now!) Although Mom can’t get the spell check button to do anything but be grayed out. Hm. Maybe we spoke too soon!
Well, this entry is really about Foster. Foster is my older brother. He was named after a character in a Joseph Conrad short story called Amy Foster! (Just like me!) We’re both Sterling promotional matrix bears. I came from a gardening store, but Foster was found at Goodwill. I was really glad when Mom found him. I did miss him a lot.
His favorite color is yellow. He says that he likes it because it’s bright! He likes leaves that turn bright yellow in the fall, and rubber ducks! He also likes sunflowers and yellow tulips! He likes playing cars with me, and will help the tinies move big things around. He would really like to meet Big Bird someday—he’s a bird and he’s yellow, so that makes Foster really happy!
Talk to you all next week!

Today we are going to talk about our new friend, Mercedes. She recently
arrived from American Girl. Mom’s really excited! I guess I think there’s plenty
enough girls around here, but whatever makes her happy!
She seems really nice though. She gets along well with Molly and Mols. They like talking about history a lot. Sometimes they read books out loud to each other.
Mom says that I have to post this! We’re really happy with the trend that we’re working on! Next week, we’re going to post a blog entry about my big brother, Foster.

Today I’m going to talk about our dog, Oliver.
He came to live with us in April of 2013. He was cute and little then.
He grew and grew and grew! Mom still thinks he’s cute. (It depends on the day for me.)
He goes with Mom shopping sometimes. He likes car rides, and barking at people. He wants them to give him treaties, and doesn’t understand that not everyone carries doggy treats with them. I think he’s loud and sometimes I worry that he’s going to chew on me! Mom tells me that he is a mostly well behaved dog, and he won’t—but I don’t think you can ever promise that!
He is very fond of Mom’s sister, Sam. Sometimes they drive to where she works for lunch so he can have a visit.
He does guard the house well. People aren’t really scared of teddy bears, but Oliver makes such a racket that I’m sure he chases them all away. He also protects Mom against squirrels, birds, and the mail people. I’m pretty sure that’s all very important! He takes his job pretty seriously!
Do any of you have doggy siblings? Do you worry about them chewing on you? Do they protect you and your people?
