Time for another book review! This time it is a children’s picture book called A Mother for Choco, by a lady named Keiko Kasza.
It is about a lonely little parrot named Choco. He is a yellow parrot who does not seem to have a mom. He goes to each of the animals that he thinks looks like him in some way and asks them if they are his mother. They all say no!
I don’t want to ruin the ending for you! Mom says that the book is sort of about adoption and accepting families of all shapes and sizes. We both like this book and think it is very cute and sweet. I think we like it so much because our family around here is from all sorts of different places, species, and makers. Everyone from the domos, to plushies, to the Monster High dolls!
That looks like a good book, especially a nice thing to do on a cold winter day!
ReplyDeleteYou have Monster High dolls? Voodoo bride is jealous now. She saw them in the store a while ago when we were looking for a present for a nephew of my owner and she really wanted us to adopt one.
ReplyDeleteAnd the book sounds sweet. We'll put it on our wishlist.
