So Mom worked on her genealogy tonight instead of helping me write my blog entry. It turns out that one of Mom’s co-workers is distantly related through marriage and what not to her. This makes her the fourth person that Mom knows that she is distantly related to. And these things make Mom very happy.
So I thought I would write a little bit about something that both Mom and I love—Postcrossing. For the price of a global postage stamp, you can get postcards sent to you from all over the world. Mom recently got this one from Russia!

Mom shares these pictures on Instagram. We have a drawer that we keep them all in.

Sometimes, the postcards have different pictures on them! This is one that Mom got recently. It’s a picture of a bunch of people on a ferry that happens to be next to a warship! Neither of us read Chinese, so we have to deal with just the English translation on the back.
Does anyone else have a postcrossing account? Do you get interesting postcards? There really isn’t anywhere around here that sells anything but travel postcards. We just send Wisconsin postcards to people!

How is everyone! Spring has finally hit Wisconsin! Today was 60 degrees Fahrenheit! (Which is about 16 degrees Celsius for the rest of the world!) Mom, Oliver, and I sat outside on the porch for an hour or so this afternoon, and then for another half hour this evening.
Yesterday, Mom, Grandma, and Caleb went to Waupaca. It’s about a half hour away from home. They ate at a restaurant that had an outside seating area. Mom took this picture!

How is the weather where you live? Mom and I like sitting outside in the spring. I don’t like the really hot weather, so this is nice.

This is near where Mom’s sister—and Graham live. This is in Berlin, Wisconsin. Isn’t the sky so blue! Mom says that you can tell when winter lasts too long in Wisconsin when we’re impressed with bright, blue skies!
I hope everyone is having a good day!

Our idea to keep ahead on the blog posts isn’t working. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, we have to take care of Graham. He tires Mom out, and after he leaves, we take a nap! And it seems like Mom works the rest of the time. We are going to have to put some time aside officially and write a lot of entries!
This week we are going to talk about photography. Mom mostly posts on Instagram these days. It means that it’s generally plushie free. Sometimes the BJDs and AGs sneak on there. It’s mostly a lot of books, buttons, and Oliver.

Some of the people who follow her know her in real life or work with her, so she keeps my friends and I out of the spotlight. I don’t mind too much, since I do have my blog here.
Mom also has a Flickr. She used to look there a lot, but when she got the ipad, they didn’t have a very good app. We stopped going there all the time. But she found a website that will cross post things for us, so we get on there every so often.
Do any of you have any photo sharing websites? Mom and I love to look at pictures! I hope you’re all having a great week! Talk to you later!

Hello everybody! How are you all? Mom and I are all right. Spring still hasn’t arrived here in Wisconsin. According to the weather app on Mom’s ipad, it’s supposed to snow this week!
One of the things that Mom and I collect are buttons. She finds them at thrift stores and antique malls in jars. We then sit on the bed and sort them. We have several jars, one for each color, and we fill them up. If Mom or I think a button is uniquely pretty, different, or we have more than one, we put it in a little plastic bag. These will someday go in boxes for each color. The other buttons, the plain ones, the ones that we don’t have pairs for, or the ones that we just haven’t sorted yet go in the jars. We have full jars of the black buttons and white buttons.

Mom often posts pictures of them on Instagram. This one is a yellow button, possibly made of Bakelite. Mom likes the vintage ones the best. I like the blue ones the best.

We find all sorts of buttons though. Along with buttons, Mom and I collect books, domos, postcards, and miniature things. Do you collect anything?

April 1st, 2016

How are you all? Things are all right around here. The weather still is rather cold—it’s supposed to rain and snow next week! It feels like we’re never going to get to garden!
We have been spending a lot of time lately taking care of Graham. He likes to be held a lot. Mom says he is lucky he is so cute!

We have also spent a lot of time paying attention to Oliver. He is used to getting everyone’s attention all the time, but Graham needs a lot of attention now too. Mom takes us all for car rides to make up for it.

This picture was taken when we all were downstairs because Mom’s parents were on vacation. Can you see Roscoe in the background? I never thought I’d come to the day when I’d rather hang out with Oliver because he’s the quieter of the options! Graham never wants to take a nap that lasts more than 30 minutes, while Oliver will nap for hours!
How are the seasons changing where you live? I know that it’s not spring everywhere. I like fall too! Mom and I don’t really like hot weather, so fall means it’ll be nice outside! But without summer and the heat there wouldn’t be any growing things!
