February 22nd, 2014

Mom has been interested in my twitter account again. To read our twitter feeds, Mom uses hootsuite, both on the computer and the iPad. When she used it to read her twitter, she would sometimes look at the button that was mine and remember all the very nice people on there! A few days ago, she clicked on it and all the nice people were still there! I followed some new people and read through lots of tweets! I hope we can keep it up again!

Mom has been making dolly food out of polymer clay. Technically, she's making it for her ball jointed dolls and a different set for the American Girl dolls. The AG sized stuff fits my friends and I too!

It is a nice, quiet morning-- at least as quiet as it can be with Oliver around! Talk to you later!

January 19th, 2014

Mom and I have some time, so we thought we would pop in for a bit. Things have been all right around here. Not too exciting, but I guess that’s a good thing!

This is a picture from today—with filters and such from her ipad. I like the bright sun! It seems like it hasn’t been sunny for ages! And it was even a nice temperature, 35* F (about 2* C). I told Mom that she should have taken me outside!

Oliver is still being Oliver. He’s 24 pounds (almost 11 kg) now. He has lots of puppy muscles! Mom says that he is still a force to be reckoned with. I think he’s certainly a handful!

Mom has decided to go back to school. This time, it is for web design. She says that it is a much better career for her if she ever gets to become a hermit. (I like that idea because then I get to be around all the time!) I like it because now she sits at the computer for longer times and I can help her. We also think that we might play with my blog and change things up a little bit once she figures out some more things!

Besides learning through school, we’ve been playing with a website called CodeAcademy. It’s fun! We’ve been doing stuff with HTML and CSS. Mom says that she is glad that most of it is already done here on Blogger! This is the main page that she has to use for one of her classes’ assignments. It’s very simple, but Mom says you have to start somewhere. (Her photography website is done with an editor that does most of the programming for you, so it’s fancier quicker!) We will keep you all updated on it, since it’s a part of making Mom a happier person, therefore more posting!

Talk to you all later!

November 29th, 2013

One of the many things Mom does instead of helping me with my blog is play on Pinterest. I thought if I wanted to write about some of the teddy and doll related boards Mom follows she would stop pinning and help me type! She says that she will try!

For the people who don’t spend tons of time online like Mom, Pinterest is a way to collect pictures, links, and other visual things in a way so you can admire the pictures later. You organize things into boards, and follow other people with like interests.

Mom mostly follows boards that have something to do with her biggest interests, reading, dogs, and her latest obsession, an actor from Sherlock, the BBC TV show. There are a few teddy boards mixed in there though! This one is one of them!

Here is another board. I think it’s amazing how people can gather to share pictures and information about hobbies on the internet! Who would’ve thought there would be so many boards on teddies alone!

Another dolly thing that Mom likes to look at on Pinterest is the American Girl stuff. Someday, Mom hopes to make more pretty clothes for all of us. She’s amazed by the wonderful work that is out there.

Are there any boards that you follow that are interesting? Mom and I are open to all sorts of ideas!

Happy late Thanksgiving for our fellow American friends—Mom says that when you work retail, you should be happy that you remember to wish anyone anything during this season, so I’m happy with one day late! We hope you're all having a good month! I hope to write more soon!

Later,

November 3rd, 2013

Things have been pretty busy lately. Mom still works at the bookstore, and Oliver is still a handful. Mom says that he is lucky that he’s cute.

2013-11-02 11.32.00

He does this a lot. Look so cute that Mom can’t help but forgive him for everything. She takes him to puppy training classes every Thursday night. There are two other puppies there this time, Bruiser, a shih tzu, and George, a labradoodle. They’re both very nice puppies and Oliver loves to play with them! Mom wants to take a picture of them playing!

Things on my own front have been pretty quiet. Mom brought home a new Build-a-Bear My Little Pony named Twilight Sparkle.

Mom took this picture with her ipad and some photo app, so it looks different to what she really looks like. Twilight Sparkle also came with Spike, a baby dragon!

So that’s what’s happening around here! I managed to write an entry a month for two months in a row! I hope I’ll have lots of Christmas-ey things to report next time!

October 6th, 2013

Things are pretty much the same around here. Oliver is still a handful! He has grown to his full size, a respectable 15 pounds (about 7 kg). Mom thinks that he might get more muscle, but he hasn’t gotten any bigger in a while.

Mom’s work is still yucky, so that’s why we haven’t posted a lot lately. Mom took a picture of me with her ipad, and I thought that we could share it—and then I talked her into writing up this post!

2013-10-05 21.11.24

Mom says that things will change once she gets a different job—and we will post more. She has been fiddling with making a miniature farmyard for the little ones. The shed broke, so now she has to put it back together, but here’s a picture of what it looks like all together.

Sooner or later, there will be more grass, a vegetable plot, and a chicken coop!

I hope you’re all having a good day, and I hope Mom will be in the mood to write more soon!

September 1st, 2013

Long time no see!

Again, I know. It is difficult to blog with the laptop when Oliver is around. He likes to sit on the laptop.

tn_2013-04-30 Oliver (2)

He used to look like that. He weighed 4 pounds when he first came to live with us.

tn_2013-08-09 Oliver (11)

This is Oliver now. Mom says he is a force to be reckoned with. He weighs 15 pounds now. That’s about 6.8 kilograms. Mom says he has two speeds, on and off, and there’s not much in between! He likes sticks, running around, and car rides. He sleeps with Mom and me.

He has had his moment of internet fame as well. Mom uploaded some pictures of him to a website called the Daily Puppy. It said that they got thousands of admissions and it would be a long time before they got to ours. She thought it would just be kind of a lark—just try to see what would happen. Little did we know, they chose Ollie to be the daily puppy the very next day! We almost missed it! We were pretty happy!

I’m going to try to get Mom to share some pictures she took when she went to a ship festival. She got to go on two ships and the pictures were pretty cool!
